Most people searching for Meiji whey protein mean Meiji High Protein milk, a ready-to-drink bottle, not a tub of whey powder. It is made in Thailand by CP-Meiji.

What is Meiji High Protein?

At its 2015 launch, CP-Meiji announced High Protein milk in a 350 ml bottle, in plain and chocolate, with a suggested price of 49 baht. An advertorial in The Standard (2020) describes two formulas: one with 25 g of protein and no added sugar, mainly casein, and one with 27 g of protein and added whey, in chocolate. In 2025 a CP-Meiji executive told Prachachat that the line's strengths are taste and no added sugar. Label data entered by users on Open Food Facts for the 350 ml no-sugar-added formula shows about 30 g of protein, about 170 kcal and 5 g of sugar per bottle. Figures differ by formula and year, so always read the label of the bottle you buy.

Value compared with a whey tub

Casein vs whey

Both are milk proteins, so avoid both with a cow's milk allergy.
