Which Matell proteins are there?
- Matell Whey Protein Isolate: the Shopee blog (updated 28 Apr 2026) says it gives 27 g of protein per scoop, comes in 454 g and 908 g, costs about 799 baht, and is sold in unflavoured milk, chocolate, double chocolate, matcha green tea and vanilla. The article also says it has no added sugar and no preservatives.
- Matell Soy Protein Isolate: the mybest table lists vanilla, 454 g, 27 g of protein. This one is soy protein, with no whey.
The blog does not say which bag size the 799 baht is for, and neither source gives the number of scoops per bag, so Matell's price per gram of protein can't yet be worked out from online information.

What does "isolate" on the label mean?
The American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI) defines whey protein isolate as at least 90% protein on a dry basis. Soy protein isolate is separated from soybeans: the same ending, a different raw material. With a cow's milk allergy, avoid the whey one; with a soy allergy, avoid the soy one.
